2017-18 Men's Lacrosse Roster
Biography
A native of Greenwich, CT, William Waesche became the second goaltender in CUFLA history to score a goal, accomplishing the feat on McGill's first marker in a 13-7 victory over visiting Queen's, Sept. 13, 2014.
Prior to joining the Redmen, he served as team captain on Greenwich High School's nationally ranked lacrosse squad. A skilled goalie whose older brother, Ward Waesche, also played goalie for McGill in 2011, the younger Waesche shared goaltending duties as a freshman in 2013 with Riley McGillis. Waersche finished his inaugural 2013 season with the lowest goals against average among all active goalies in Canada, a stingy 3.6 GAA in 200 minutes. Waesche is studying economics in McGill's Faculty of Arts.Â
