Educational Services

It is important to acknowledge that being a student-athlete involves both striving to perform well at a competition or game, as well as in the classroom. McGill Athletics offers services to help you get there:

Please fill out the form(s) and send it to Zachary Pilling (Zachary.Pilling@mcgill.ca). You can also find hard copies of these forms in the varsity office which is located on the ground floor in room G68.

Please note,  the Travel Release Form must be completed prior to the day of your travel and will not be signed outside of business hours (i.e. on weekends). The Course Conflict Forms must be completed, signed and returned to your professors two weeks before your course conflict, whether it is a lab, a midterm, etc.

Subsidized Tutoring Requests

Student-athletes can request to be tutored either in person at the Varsity offices or online using this link:

Student-athletes need to indicate the course(s) and the number of hours they wish to use for the upcoming two weeks. Students should only be filling out the request form if they want or need to be tutored during the next two-week period. Once a request form is completed, they will be matched with a tutor within the following 24-48 hours. If they would like to be tutored more after the initial hours have been used during that two-week period, they must complete a new form and the process begins again. Each student-athlete is granted 12 hours of subsidized tutoring for the academic period spanning the summer, fall and winter semesters. After the winter semester, the year resets and they are allotted a new total of 12 hours.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Maggie Chrzaszcz (malgorzata.chrzaszcz@mcgill.ca)
